Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie, in collaboration with educational institutions in Tulkarm Governorate and under the patronage of Tulkarem Governor, organized a sports marathon titled “Together to Stop Knowledge Eradication.”
The event, held in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Taawon Foundation, and other local institutions, aimed to show solidarity with the Gaza Strip, and support the right to education in Palestine.
The marathon began at Kadoorie University’s campus with extensive participation, including university and school students, as well as representatives from official and civil organizations.
Prof. Hussein Shanak, President of Kadoorie University, emphasized that the event reflects the university’s solidarity with the people of Gaza, particularly amidst the challenges facing education due to the destruction of many educational institutions.
He highlighted that such activities embody a message of comprehensive support for Palestine's educational movement and underscore the importance of resisting attempts at knowledge eradication targeting the Palestinian people.
Deputy Governor of Tulkarm, Faisal Salama, stressed that the marathon showcases the Palestinian people’s determination to raise their voice globally and assert their right to live with dignity and freedom. He noted that the event exemplifies the Palestinians’ ability to use all available means, including sports, to advocate for their human and national rights.
