Kadoorie’s President Convenes with Hebron’s Governor and Al- Aroub Staff

The President of Palestine Technical University-Kadoorie, Prof. Marwan Awartani convened with Hebron’sGovernor,Kamel Hamid and a number of official associations in Hebron alongside with meeting the staff at Kadoorie’s branch inAl-Aroub to discuss means of joint cooperation and to put the parties in the frame of the university’s development and needs.
During the meeting, which was held at the Governorate House in Hebron, Prof. Awartani stressed the university’s status as “the only technical state university in the country that offers a distinctive and affordable education.”Awartani also referred to the necessity of adoptinga law for the university and the establishment of its own board of trustees.
In turn, HameedpraisedKadoorie’sdistinguished educational level and the important role played by the state Universities in providing accessible education for the students calling on the society’s organizations to cooperate and contribute to supporting these universities through real and continuous partnership.
At the end of the meeting, the convened parties announced the formation of the Friends of Kadoorie Council in Hebron headed by the Governor of Hebron with the membership of representatives of official, civil and academicinstitutions.
Meeting the University’s Staff in Al-Aroub
In a related context, Dr. Awartani held his first meeting with the staff of Kadoorie’s branch at Al-Aroub after the merging decision.
During the meeting, Awartani stressed the importance of the employees’active participation and cooperation to ensure the success of the merging.
