PTUK Receives a Delegation from Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie received a top official delegation in the field of Accreditation and Quality Assurance in the Ministry of Education as a prelude to initiating a national leading project, adopted by the Palestinian Government and funded by the American Consulate, to shift from programmatic accreditation to institutional one.
The aim of the visit was to enhance and develop the quality of teaching and evaluation practices in the Palestinian universities.

The delegation included Dr. Ronald Becker, an international expert in the field of quality and accreditation assurance and the executive manager of Becker Consulting Services in Washington, the Consultant of Quality Affairs in the Ministry of Education Dr. Sami Basha, Ms. Mourin Maroum from the American Consulate and from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, Eyad Abu Samara.
The University President Prof Marwan Awartani, his Vice Presidents, Assistants and the Faculty Deans welcomed the delegates stressing the need to obtain institutional accreditation in the Palestinian universities describing it as an integral part and an important factor for the university’s overall development.
