PTUK Completes the First Round in Corporate Governance Competition

The Faculty of Business Administration and Economy at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie and the Palestinian Capital Market Authority PCMA have completed the first round in the corporate governance competence targeting students of business administration colleges from five Palestinian universities.
A Number of official delegates attended the competition including the Faculty Dean of Business Administration at Palestine Technical University, Dr, Ahmad Shweikeh, the Managing Director of Studies and Development Department from PCMA Dr. Bashar Ma’zooz, the Secretary General of the Insurance Companies Union, representatives from insurance companies, academic staff and university students.
Dr. Ahmad Shweikeh stated that the university’s participation in such competition falls within its vision to hold series of events and activities in order to acquaint the students with social and professional skills having therefore well-qualified candidates able to compete in the labor market.

For his part, Dr. Bashar explained that the competition became as an extension to enrolling a corporate governance course in the Palestinian universities’ syllabuses and one of the first initiatives in the Arab region that aims to connect the academic theory with practical experience.
At the end of the competition, PTUK’s level winning group of the first round were announced including: Angham Zaytoon, Asma’ Yousif, Marah Abdo and Adel Ihsan.
