PTUK Takes Part in Strategic Thinking Workshop

Within the scope work of organizational development in the PAAC project, Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie participated in the “Awareness Workshop on Strategic Thinking”which was held in Haddad Tourism Village between January10-12, 2018.
Palestinian Academic and Agribusiness Cooperation PAAC project, which is funded by The Dutch Government through Netherlands Universities Foundation for International Cooperation NUFFIC, included in the workshop commercial and agribusiness contexts to discuss the methods and techniques used to develop the agricultural outcome and to use strategic thinking adopting innovative methods to enhance interactivity between employees and institutions.
The Dutch expert Leo Kirklan discussed the workshop themes with the participants who were representatives from the involved universities in the project including Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, An-Najah National University, Al Quds University and Hebron University as well as other representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Al Quds Open University and the Palestinian Chambers of Commerce and Agricultural.
Representatives from the university included the Dean of Science and Agricultural Technology College Dr. Tahseen Saya’ra, the Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Dr. Rana Samara, the Director of PTUK’s Agricultural Research Center Dr. Nawaf Abu Khalaf, and from the Department of Gardening and Agricultural Guidance Dr. Dawood Abu Safia.
A series of meetings will be held in the near future to follow up the platform development outcome and to deliver a strategic action plan to actively promote the importance of food and agribusiness development involving private and public stakeholders of the labor market.
