    PTUK Signs MoU with National Cybersecurity to Strengthen Collaboration

    Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Cybersecurity Company (NCS) to enhance cooperation in cybersecurity and align academic outcomes with the needs of the Palestinian labor market, contributing to the preparation of qualified national professionals capable of keeping pace with technological advancements.

    The MoU was signed by University President Prof. Hussein Shanak and NCS Founder and CEO Mr. Iyad Al-Rifai, in the presence of Dr. Yahya Astaita, Assistant President for Branch Affairs, Prof. Joltan Hijjazi, Director of the Ramallah Branch, and representatives from both sides.

    The agreement aims to advance academic and applied collaboration in cybersecurity, strengthen students’ practical competencies, attract outstanding graduates, and support their transition into the workforce, while contributing to building specialized national expertise in this critical field.

    Areas of cooperation include the implementation of specialized training programs, provision of internship opportunities within the company, adoption of a “Train to Hire” model, and the organization of workshops and seminars led by industry experts.

    The MoU also covers support for joint graduation projects, promotion of applied research in cybersecurity, and the implementation of awareness activities and competitions to foster cybersecurity culture within the University community.

    Both parties affirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of this partnership and achieving its strategic objectives, with a focus on enhancing the educational and training environment and improving students’ employability.
