PTUK Wins First Place in National Best Student Company Competition

Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie (PTUK) achieved another milestone after its student startup EcoCool won First Place in the Best Student Company Competition, organized by INJAZ Palestine among Palestinian universities.

The winning team developed EcoCool, an innovative solution that recycles cardboard and plastic waste into sustainable agricultural cooling systems. The project demonstrates how innovation can address environmental challenges while supporting the agricultural sector, showcasing PTUK students' ability to transform entrepreneurial ideas into practical solutions with tangible economic and social impact.

Dr. Alaa Issa, Dean of Student Affairs, attributed the achievement to the strong partnership between INJAZ Palestine and the University's Deanship of Student Affairs, which supported the project through mentorship, training, and institutional guidance, in collaboration with Taysir International Construction Company, represented by Eng. Ali Odeh.

He noted that the award reflects PTUK students' creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit, while highlighting the University's ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, teamwork, and student-led initiatives.

Meanwhile, Wajdi Al-Jallad, INJAZ Coordinator at PTUK, described the victory as the result of months of dedication and collaborative effort by students from different academic disciplines, who successfully established a fully structured and scalable student company.
