Kadoorie University Participates in Launching Research Projects within the GIZ Program

Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie participated in a workshop organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Higher Education and the Chairman of the Board of Scientific Research H.E. Dr. Sabri Saydam for the launch of funded research projects within the GIZ (Palestinian - German cooperation) in the field of scientific research.
14 out of the 29 projects submitted for financing were selected and Kadoorie won two projects presented by Dr. Nawaf Abu Khalaf and Dr. Sa’ed Khayat from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
Dr. Nawaf Abu Khalaf delivered a presentation of his project which tackles the incorporation of precision agriculture technology to Palestine, and expressed the importance of the project for the development of agricultural technology in Palestine.
On the second day, individual meetings between Palestinian researchers and their Germans counterparts were held to discuss the mechanics of implementation of the projects early next year.
