A Delegation from UN Office in Ramallah and the Palestine Police Visits PTUK


The Acting Vice President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie Dr. Araft Zidan received a delegation from the Palestine Police, comprised of the Director of Academic Affairs Management Colonel Mansour Khozaimyeh and the Vice Director of the Reform and Rehabilitation Center Colonel Abduljabbar Tafesh. The delegation also included the Person-in-Charge of the Project Reporting Julie Astoul and the Director of Prisons Rehabilitation Program Alejandro Mata from the United Nations Office in Ramallah. The delegates, who were meant to prevent crime and drugs, discussed means of cooperation to enhance partnership in the fields of science and community. Dr. Arafat Zidan presented a brief introduction about the history of PTUK, its academic programs, facilities and branches – Ramallah and Alaroub, explaining the University’s rapid development over the past years; in addition to the efforts made with regard to the technical learning improvement as well as the presentation of the affordable education to the students. The Acting Vice President stressed the importance of strengthening the true partnership with the security institutions based on mutual aims that serve the local community, expressing thereby the university’s readiness to deliver the necessary assistance to achieve educational progress. The delegates commended the role of PTUK in the technical learning development in Palestine, looking forward to establishing more cooperation with the University in the future.
