The Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie - Dr. Rana Samara participated in the “International Conference on Integrated Protection of Date Palm” which was held in Bahrain and organized by the International Organization for Biological and Integrated Control (IOBC-WPRS) in co-operation with AGU and the National Initiative for the Agricultural Development. In this context, Dr. Samara explained that the two-day event aimed to discuss the latest modern scientific methods for integrated protection of date palms, and addressed topics such as the types of date palm pests and different methods of pest control for palms using farming and bio-chemical techniques. Dr. Samara also referred to the importance of participating in international scientific and research conferences that help promote the mission and vision of the Kadoorie university.
