In an outstanding contribution to the regional development, Kadoorie University has been ranked one of the best eight Arab universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings as the results have shown for the MENA on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
Kadoorie University has achieved this success through participation with EDU4ALL Education project: “Disability as diversity.”
The University Acting President, Prof. Hussein Shanak congratulated the university staff for this new achievement which is due to the rising development by the great efforts towards excellence and leadership in the global and regional scientific and research platforms.
Prof. Shanak emphasized the university's advanced and pioneering role in advancing the status of higher education in Palestine and serving the Palestinian and all human societies, calling for more excellence in other fields that devote the university's presence in global platforms.
For his turn, the Assistant President for Governance, Prof. Saed Malak, explained that this participation came within the framework of the university's strategic plan to enhance the university's position in international and Arab rankings and international accreditations with the aim of leveraging the university at the Arab and global levels.
For her part, the coordinator of the Edu4All Project, Dr. Iman Daraghmeh, explained that the qualifications, which were characterized by an innovative approach based on assistive technology and comprehensive innovative solutions to support students with disabilities on basis of equality and determination, made it a global initiative that contributes to the development of societies, and received attention of leading institutions that stimulate entrepreneurship and creativity.
It is noteworthy that the Times Ranking Award for Arab Universities is one of the highest awards at the Arab level, and the winner will be crowned the first place at the top of the Times Rankings in the United Arab Emirates on 14/11/2023.
