PTUK Offers Training Course on Islamic Banking


PTUK’s Entrepreneurship Center has offered a training course on “Fundamental Work of the Islamic Banking” in corporation with Safa Bank in a program of 16 training hours that included modern topics of banking business in the Islamic banks. The course was initiated in presence of the Dean of the Business and Economics College, Dr. Ahmad Shawikeh, the Center’s Director, Dr. Mohammad Sleemi and the trainer Mahmoud Hafeethe as well as students from the business college. The training course included topics in the field of Islamic banks – theoretical and practical aspects, basic concepts in the Islamic banking, financial statement analysis as well as basis calculation and distribution of profits at the investment accounts compared to the traditional banks. Dr. Shawikeh explained that the University aims at bridging the gap between theory and practice throughout conducting such activities which will give rise to mastering professional skills by the students to compete in the labor market. Dr. Sleemi affirmed on the strong relationship with Safa Bank for their cooperative links with PTUK which enhance in the first place the students’ abilities and knowledge in the world of business.
