Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie officially inaugurated the First Palestinian Village Festival 2023 that was organized due to an initiative proposed and planned by the Students’ Council.
The festival was in sponsorship with the Tulkarem Governor, Ministry of National Economy, Ministry of Culture, Tulkarem Chamber of Commerce, and Palestinian Business Association.
The festival, comprised of 32 involved companies and lasted for three days, included several entertaining events for the kids and visitors and mainly supports the national product to prove competitiveness locally and regionally.
Tulkarem Governor, Isam Abu Baker proudly explained that the festival basically promotes the national economy and supports the Palestinian products which is a key factor to instill the spirit of resilience among the Palestinians, indicating that the idea behind the festival was an entrepreneurial youth initiative to empower their role in different aspects.
The University Vice President, Dr. Ahmad Shweikeh explained that the event falls within the university’s keenness to contribute in community development and enhances the sustainable development goals, offering a place and opportunities for young people to be involved with the private and public sectors in Palestine allowing them to show their startup initiatives.
