In partnership with the Science and Agricultural Technology College at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, Palestinian Agriculture and Relief Committees PARC organized a workshop entitled: “Stone Industries in Palestine: Present Challenges and future Prospective”.
The workshop was attended by different related ministries and associations including: the Ministry of Agriculture, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of National Economy, Environment QualityAuthority, Ministry of Local Government and the Union of Stone and Marble Industry along with many other official representatives.
In this context, Dean of Science and Agriculture Technology College, Dr. Tahseen Sayara welcomed the guests stressing on the true partnership and the continuous support between PARC and the University.
He also stated that the stone and marble industry is considered to be as one of the Palestinian national economic income; consequently, he stressed the university’s readiness to participating in such related events.
At the end of the workshop, several practical recommendations were conducted including but not limited to the right of preserving stone industries in different ways so as to limit the negative effects on environment and public health.
