Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie has achieved a significant milestone in university rankings. In the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2024, the university ranked in the 81-90 category among 361 competing universities, securing the second position among Palestinian universities in this ranking.
This achievement is part of the university's ongoing progress, following its recent ranking of 122nd in the Arab Region in the QS World University Rankings: Arab Region 2025.
University President Prof. Hussein Shanak congratulated the university community on this accomplishment, expressing gratitude to the university staff and the Rankings Committee for their dedicated efforts, emphasizing that this success is a natural outcome of cumulative collective efforts and a reflection of the university’s vision to elevate its status across all domains, aiming to position itself among prestigious universities globally.
Prof. Shanak highlighted the university's commitment to excellence in education, scientific and applied research, student exchange programs, and leading international projects. Additionally, the university’s diverse and impactful community contributions align closely with the main pillars of the ranking criteria, which include research output, academic reputation, quality of education, and societal and international influence.
The ranking results were announced during the Times Higher Education 2024: Arab Universities Summit, held in partnership with the University of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. During the summit, Prof. Shanak met with presidents of various Arab universities to explore avenues for future collaboration.
