Kadoorie University Joins Advancing Digital Education Workshop


Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie took part in a regional workshop on enhancing ICT competencies for early childhood educators in higher education institutions across the Middle East and North Africa. The workshop was part of the ICT4EDU project and hosted by Frederick University in Cyprus. It brought together representatives from Arab universities, including Kadoorie, Deir Al-Balah, and Al-Istiqlal from Palestine; Al-Azhar, Suez, and Heliopolis from Egypt; and the University of Jordan, alongside Mutah and Irbid universities from Jordan. Discussions at the workshop centered on several key themes, including integrating ICT technologies into educational environments, designing innovative activities using gamification, and exploring the potential of artificial intelligence in creating virtual learning environments. Dr. Nashat Al-Jallad and Dr. Adli Odeh from Kadoorie contributed presentations on transforming curricula into interactive digital content to promote sustainable education in alignment with UN standards. The workshop concluded with recommendations aimed at advancing higher education in the region through the adoption of modern technologies to foster active learning and achieve sustainable development.
