PTUK Students Enrolled in PMA Training Program


Students of Financial and Banking Sciences at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie have started their acquaintance and training program within the scope work of the active partnership between PTUK and Palestine Monetary Authority which aims at honing the students’ skills and knowledge of the PMA’s mission, roles, the financial banking relationships and the followed executive procedures policies. A program is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and is implemented by Palestine Monetary Authority. During the opening session, the Monetary Authority Governor Dr. Riyad Abu Shihada delivered a detailed introduction about the PMA’s vision, goals and roles to developing the Palestinian banking sector, promoting sustainable growth of the national economy, maintaining stability, ensuring secure banking system, enacting against anti-money- laundering and terrorist financing as well as the PMA’s commitment to the international instructions in the field of procedures development and monitoring. The Assistant Attorney of the High Education Affairs Dr. Ihab Qubaj stressed the importance of organizing such programs to acquaint the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to be well-qualified for the labor market. For his part, the Head of the Financial and Banking Department at PTUK Dr. Mohammad Abu Eisha thanked Palestine Monetary Authority for the program organization commending their performance towards the community service.
