Kadoorie Honors Students of the Press Freedom Project


The Media Technology Department in the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, in cooperation with the Student Youth Movement and the Student Union at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, organized an event to honor students who participated in the Press Freedom Course. This course was a continuation of the Press Freedom Workshop held in Jordan, where Ms. Amal Murshid represented Kadoorie in collaboration with the University of Oslo in Norway. Dr. Ahmad Ammar, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, praised the notable achievements of the Media Technology Department, especially its involvement in the workshop. He emphasized the faculty’s commitment to engaging its students and staff in various media-focused training sessions and projects. These efforts aim to refine their skills and broaden their horizons, highlighting the department’s role as a central hub for expressing all media-related activities within the faculty. Mr. Atef Shaqir, Head of the Media Technology Department, commended the students’ dedication and their ongoing efforts to enhance the department through participation in extracurricular activities and courses. He affirmed his support for such initiatives, which contribute to the advancement of both the department and its students.
