Kadoorie Takes Part in Agricultural Workshop on Olives’ Rapid Starch Degradation


The President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, Prof. Nouraldin Abualrob and the Jenin's Governor, Brigade Akram Rojoub started a scientific agricultural workshop on the olives’ rapid starch degradation that is caused by the plant-associated bacterium, Xylella fastidiosa: diagnosis and control. The workshop was organized by the National Agricultural Research Center in Jenin, in partnership with the Italian Bari Institute and Kadoorie University as the workshop’s scientific sessions’ chairpersons: Prof. Assit. Wafa Masoud and Prof. Mazin Salman. Abualrob affirmed on the strong partnership with all the Palestinian related organizations and centers aiming at developing the agricultural sector by transferring international knowledge and technology and conducting agricultural research for the service of the Palestinian farmers. “Kadoorie pins high priorities for agricultural practical research under international changes and development as it has always been doing in the last decades for the development of the Palestinian agricultural community,” he added.
