PTUK Organizes Workshop on Public and Individual Freedom


In cooperation with the Palestinian Youth Forum for Freedom and Democracy and in partnership with the German Friedrich NaumannFoundation, the Deanship of Students’ Affairs at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie received the Palestinian Center for Studies and Dialogue of Civilizations hosting a workshop on legislation and application towards public and individual freedom in Palestine. The workshop shed light on the current Palestinian basic law texts in different clauses having the right to practice life with freedom and democracy, adding that this paves all the way to positive initiatives and creativity, which in turn pushes forward the process of the sustainable development and prevents all kinds of corruption. Dr. Waleed AlShomali pointed to the Palestinian efforts made since 1994 signing different international and regional agreements in respect to the human rights including but not limited to the International Covenant for Human Rights, Children’s Rights Agreement, Women’s Right, Disabilities’ Rights and many others.
