Kadoorie University Organizes The First Day of The Third International Conference on Olive in


In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture, Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission , Agricultural Development Association, Oxfam, Environment Quality Authority, Canaan Institution, the Union of Agricultural work committees and Palestinian universities in the West Bank, Palestine Technical University– Kadoorie organized the activities of the Third International Conference on olive in Palestine. The conference aimed to shed light on the olive sector in Palestine and to provide space for researchers, experts and decision-makers to learn about the latest scientific technological research and innovations associated with the olive sector developments. The first day included a session on Olive Production and Protection moderated by prof. Samih Abu Baker from Al-Balqa’ university in Jordan and included four scientific papers on Olive propagation, effects of climate change on olive production in Palestine, the Potential impact of projected climate change on Olive production in Palestine presented by various international distinguished keynote speakers. Parallel to the conference, an agricultural exhibition of olive products was held.
