The Department of Financial Banking at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie has organized a workshop on financial inclusion in cooperation with the Palestinian Monetary Authority in commemoration of the Arab Day for financial inclusion which marks the anniversary April 27, 2018.
The workshop, which was entitled “Arab Day for Financial Inclusion to Achieve Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth”, dealt with many topics, including the concept of financial inclusion, its characteristics, status and level in Palestine as well as its important role in supporting the Palestinian economy and the role of Palestinian women in financial banking.
The Dean of the Economics and Business College, Dr. Ahmad Shweikeh commended the role of PMA in disseminating the culture and awareness among the Palestinian people to sustain economic growth which will rise with the State of Palestine.
During the workshop, the Palestinian experience in the financial inclusion and the dissemination of awareness for the Palestinians were presented and generalized across many Arab countries as it was proved successful in the field of economy and finance.
The participants also explored the strategies adopted by the PMA dealing with the different Palestinian institutions to be connected with the national economic strategies so that sustainable and independent economic growth could be achieved.
