PTUK Ranks First in TechCamp Competition


The Faculty Students of Engineering and Information Technology at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie have achieveda new record being ranked first in TechCamp Competition, which was organized by Partners for Sustainable Development PSU (NETKETABi) and funded by the American Consulate. The competition aimed to sustain cooperation between the Palestinian universities and the private sector. Under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Al-Oweiwi, the team were able to introduce a prototype based on computerization and the recruitment process without the intervention of human resources, so that the system could select the best candidates automatically by using complex Algorithms and systems of Machine Learning and Data Mining. In this occasion, the University President Prof. Marwan Awartani appreciated the students’ achievements stressing their pioneering role in leveraging Kadoorie’s status in technical and entrepreneurial aspects, which also correlate theoretical learning with practical application.
