With pleasant faces and young team spirits, students from Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie drew with their creative white and black feathers 3D street crosswalks in front of Abdullmajeed Tayeh Basic School in Tulkarem city conveying their message in an artistic way that attracted everybody’s attention. The event was sponsored by Tamayez Tulkarem 4 in partnership with the group of Reshet Fanan “an artist feather” and within the campaign “You are the Leader” which is being implemented by Sharek Youth Forum aiming at developing the students’ abilities and skills to be well-qualified for better future of work and community service. The student “Aed Kharbat”, the event coordinator, explained that the event aimed basically to guarantee the children safety during their movement to the school, calling the citizens to comply with the rules of traffic law to maintain safety and order in the city. He also thanked Tulkarem Municipality and the police for their providence of the necessary tools and facilities to implement the work. Kharbat also stressed the importance of acquiring the artistic abilities to implementing projects that serve the people and the community, expressing his team readiness to start more of the same projects across the nation. For his part, Tamayez Program Coordinator Mr. Husam Helmi affirmed that this activity came within series of voluntary work that is being developed by Sharek Youth Forum to enhance the students’ belonging to the societal initiatives and the community service
