The Faculty of Business and Economics at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie hosted the "Specialization Proficiency Test," organized by the Ministry of Higher Education through the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority.
The aim was to assess students' mastery of specialized competencies acquired during their bachelor's degree studies.
Dr. Mutamed Al-Khatib, Acting President of the University, welcomed the authority's delegation and praised the test's experience at the university, particularly in the Faculty of Business and Economics. He highlighted the positive impact of reading and analyzing the test results on enhancing the quality of academic programs at the university.
Dr. Muammar Shteiwi, President of the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority for Higher Education Institutions, explained that the test was developed based on the ministry's vision and directives to ensure the quality of higher education programs. He noted that the idea for the test was presented to the Higher Education Council and University Presidents' Council, leading to the initiation of the test development and the current pilot phase.
He further elaborated that a committee of educational and business management specialists was formed to prepare and implement the test according to three main stages: studying the educational outcomes of participating institutions, selecting participating institutions, including Kadoorie University, and reading and analyzing test results with special reports.
During the test, Dr. Mutamed Al-Khatib, accompanied by Dr. Muammar Shteiwi, Dr. Razk Astasteh, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Soweis, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Mr. Iyad Abu Samra, Director of the Quality Department at the Authority, and Ms. Aseel Rajab, Head of Program Quality Department at the Authority, conducted an inspection tour of the examination hall.
