The Department of English, in coordination with Dr. Ahmad Ammar, Dean of the College of Arts and Educational Sciences, Dr. Adli Odeh, Head of the Department, and Dr. Nadia Hamad, a faculty member, organized a virtual academic seminar via Zoom.
The seminar featured Dr. Heba Sabouba, Director of the Engineering Division in Graduate Studies at the University of Austin, UK.
The discussion covered topics related to Palestine’s tourism heritage and the evolution of architecture from the Ottoman era to the present day, from both an architectural and academic perspective. Additionally, the seminar explored modern challenges in the field.
The event was attended by a distinguished audience of 70 students enrolled in the "Tourism in English" course, who actively engaged in the discussion with insightful questions and contributions that enriched the dialogue.
This seminar reflects the department’s and the college’s commitment to fostering academic collaboration with international universities, broadening students’ knowledge in their areas of specialization, and connecting them to the global job market.
