Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie hosted ACM Programming Contest which consisted of eight Palestinian universities including a team from Kadoorie University. The contest lasted for two consecutive days. The first day was a training day for the participating teams. The second day was the day of the competition which lasted for five hours at the premises of Electronic library laboratories and Accounting Leadership Center. At the end of the competition, Kadoorie organized a closing ceremony to honor the winners and the participants in the presence of the president's representative and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering- Dr. Makram Abbas and representatives of the regional ACM Committee in Jordan. In this context, Dr. Abbas expressed her gratitude for all people who contributed to the success of the competition, especially the computer engineering and computerization departments, laboratory supervisors, technical committees, volunteering students and all staff members for their efforts. For his part, the president of ACM in Palestine- Dr. Mousa Rifaiya, addressed the importance of the competition which includes the participation of supervisors, trainers and technologists from all universities. The closing ceremony ended by announcing the ranking of the participating teams which was as follows: - 7UP team from Polytechnic University in Hebron - AAU-J1 from the Arab American Univresity - GOOGLEME from Polytechnic University in Hebron - JUNIORS from Hebron University - PTUK-CODERS from Palestine Technical University- Kadoorie It is worth mentioning that in addition to ranking fifth, Kadoorie’s team was also awarded a silver medal for speed.
