Palestine Technical University Kadoorie held its first session of the University Council for the academic year 2016-2017 to discuss the latest developments of the University. The meeting was presided by Prof.Marwan Awartani- rector of PTUK, and attended by representatives from the administration alongside with representatives of public and private institutions in Tulkarem. During the Council meeting, a detailed presentation of the current academic, administrative and financial situation was given in addition to reference to the university’s developmental plans. The University Council made a number of decisions in accordance with the powers granted to it under the provisions of Article No. (21) of the Statute of state universities; the most notable of which: 1. Formulating a committee to develop ideas and solutions of restoring Kadoorie’s fragmented lands. 2. Launching a competition for the best student engineering design under the slogan “Kadoorie in Ten Years”. 3. Preparing a Master Plan scheme for Kadoorie.
