Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie organized a national seminar entitled " Prisoners’ Hunger Strike: Feasibility and Dimensions" with the participation of the Minister of Prisoners Affairs, Issa Qaraqe and a released prisoner, Abdul Samad at the university campus.
Qaraqe tackled هn his speech the history of the prisoners movement and the recent Israeli attacks suffered by the prisoners. He also highlighted that the mass strikes are the most effective and beneficial to the prisoners to achieve the desired results.
In his turn, Abdul Samad, who spent 28 years in Israeli prisons , thanked Kadoorie University for documenting the history of the prisoners movement as a course to remain present in the memory of future generations. He also talked about the conditions under which prisoners are forced to run in strikes.
