Tulkarm – Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK held a ceremony to honor and award certificates to the academic and technical teams participating in the Flip 3EEE Project, which focuses on developing the skills of academic staff in applying the flipped learning approach integrated with artificial intelligence AI and digitalization in higher education.
The event, part of the project’s capacity-building and course development activities WP2, WP3, WP4, WP5, was attended by University President Prof. Hussein Shanak, Assistant to the President for International Relations Prof. Rana Samara, Project Director Dr. Nuha Iter, along with several faculty members and representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research involved in the project.
In his remarks, Prof. Shanak praised the dedicated efforts of the university teams participating in the project, emphasizing that PTUK gives special priority to enhancing the capacities of its academic staff and advancing their skills in digital and interactive education.
He added that PTUK’s distinction in securing international projects such as Flip 3EEE reflects the trust that European and international institutions place in the university, confirming its academic excellence and global competitiveness.
“Active participation in such international initiatives represents an important step toward global engagement,” Shanak said, “strengthening PTUK’s international presence and contributing to the achievement of both local and global Sustainable Development Goals SDGs through education, research, and innovation.”
He also reaffirmed that the university remains committed to its strategic vision of international openness and to expanding its network of global partnerships, in order to enhance PTUK’s pioneering role in the advancement of Palestinian higher education and its alignment with labor market needs and emerging technologies.
For her part, Dr. Nuha Iter, PTUK’s project coordinator, explained that the ceremony served as a tribute to the continuous efforts made by the academic teams throughout the project’s implementation.
“This recognition,” she noted, “is an expression of appreciation from the project’s leadership to everyone who contributed to its success and outcomes. It is a message of gratitude that reflects the university’s commitment to teamwork and academic excellence, encouraging all of us to continue along the path of innovation and development.”
Dr. Iter added that through its participation in leading international projects, PTUK translates its vision of enhancing education quality and integrating AI and digital transformation into academic curricula—empowering students and preparing them to meet the demands of the future.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Shanak presented certificates of appreciation to participants from various university faculties and to representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in recognition of their valuable contributions to the project and their active role in advancing the educational process.
It is worth noting that the Flip 3EEE Project Flipped Practical Courses via Triple Learning Environments, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, aims to build the capacity of Palestinian academics and technicians to design and implement flipped-learning-based courses within interactive learning environments, while aligning higher education outcomes with labor market skills.
The project involves several Palestinian universities in collaboration with European partners from Greece, Germany, Portugal, and Slovenia, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge exchange in Palestinian higher education.
