PTUK President Visits Ramallah Branch, Commends Its Academic Readiness


As part of his continuous follow-up on the university’s branches, Prof. Hussein Shanak, President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK, conducted a visit to the university’s Ramallah branch to review the start of the new academic year and ensure that operations are proceeding in line with the university’s objectives and plans to provide an interactive and safe academic environment. Prof. Shanak was accompanied by Dr. Yahya Istaita, Assistant to the President for Branch Affairs, Prof. Gultan Hejazi, Director of PTUK–Ramallah Branch, and several members of the academic and administrative staff. The visit included meetings with students, as well as tours of the laboratories, classrooms, and academic and administrative facilities. During the visit, Prof. Shanak emphasized that the Ramallah and Al-Arroub branches represent a valuable extension of the main university in Tulkarm and reflect the State’s vision of expanding access to quality education for all Palestinians. He noted that PTUK is committed to offering specialized academic programs that meet the needs of the Palestinian and regional labor markets, while fostering excellence, innovation, and employability among students. He also urged students to make the most of the available resources and opportunities, actively engage in campus life, and work on developing their personalities and practical skills. At the conclusion of his tour, Prof. Shanak wished all students a productive and successful academic year, reaffirming the university’s steadfast commitment to serving its students and supporting their educational and research journey.
