PTUK Welcomes Over 4,000 New Students for the 2025 Academic Year

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK announced the admission of more than 4,000 new students for the 2025 academic year—an unprecedented enrollment in the university’s history. This milestone reflects the Palestinian community’s growing trust in PTUK and its rising academic standing, further cementing its identity as the State’s University and a hub for excellence. With this intake, the total number of regular students across PTUK’s main campus and its two branches has risen to approximately 12,500 students. Commenting on this achievement, PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak explained that the surge in enrollment is a direct result of the university’s carefully designed academic programs, which are built on modern approaches and technological dimensions, while responding to both local and international labor market needs. He emphasized that PTUK’s programs foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-employment opportunities. Prof. Shanak further noted that the newly admitted students are distributed across PTUK’s ten faculties, enrolling in programs at the doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, and professional diploma levels—underscoring the university’s comprehensive national role and global outlook. He highlighted that the record number of admissions coincides with significant academic advancements, including the recent launch of new programs, the accreditation of the Faculty of Allied Medical Professions, and PTUK’s unprecedented achievements in international rankings—milestones that reflect the university’s developmental efforts, global aspirations, and the confidence of the Ministry of Higher Education in its capabilities and leadership. Prof. Shanak expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the university’s academic, administrative, and technical staff for their dedicated efforts before and during the admission process. He praised their role in introducing students to PTUK’s identity, guiding them in selecting their majors, facilitating registration procedures, and preparing their academic programs. He also commended the contributions of the Board of Trustees, the University Council, the Workers’ Union, and the Student Council, as well as the continuous support of the Ministry of Higher Education—led by Minister Prof. Amjad Barham—and the Palestinian government under Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, for their unwavering support of the university’s journey.
