PTUK Signs MoU with Palestine Monetary Authority


Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK and the Palestine Monetary Authority PMA signed a Memorandum of Understanding MoU today, Tuesday, aiming at strengthening cooperation in the fields of scientific research, training, and financial literacy. The agreement seeks to develop students’ skills and practical knowledge while supporting the goals of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy. The MoU was signed in the presence of PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak and His Excellency PMA Governor Mr. Yahya Al-Shannar, along with several representatives from both sides. The agreement includes cooperation in academic research and joint studies, providing training opportunities for students and graduates, organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and banking-related events on campus. It also focuses on promoting creativity and innovation by guiding student projects toward practical solutions to labor market challenges. In this context, Prof. Shanak stated: “This MoU marks an important step in strengthening partnerships between the university and national institutions by offering our students research and training opportunities that expand their knowledge and skills, thereby enhancing PTUK’s role in preparing qualified graduates capable of contributing effectively to national economic development.” For his part, Governor Al-Shannar emphasized that the partnership with PTUK aligns with the PMA’s ongoing efforts to promote banking and financial awareness across different segments of society, particularly students, given its key role in advancing financial inclusion and supporting sustainable economic development in Palestine.
