Tulkarm – Teams from Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK achieved outstanding results in the Palestine Collegiate Programming Contest PCPC 2025, held this year at the American University – Ramallah Campus.
PTUK teams secured the second, third, and eighth places among 45 competing teams representing 12 Palestinian universities — nine from the West Bank and three from Gaza. With these impressive results, two of PTUK’s teams have qualified to represent Palestine in the Arab Collegiate Programming Contest ACPC, scheduled to take place in Egypt in the coming months.
In recent years, PTUK has made notable progress in regional programming competitions, consistently achieving advanced rankings as a result of the exceptional efforts and close mentorship of its academic staff and the commitment of its students to excellence and innovation.
In this context, Dr. Mohammed Khalil, coach and coordinator of programming activities in the Computer Engineering Department, expressed his optimism about the university’s teams achieving distinguished results at the Arab level, hoping they will advance to the International Collegiate Programming Contest ICPC, which brings together the top 100 teams from universities around the world.
University President Prof. Hussein Shanak congratulated the winning teams and the entire PTUK community on this remarkable achievement, emphasizing that it reflects the high level of competence and innovation of PTUK students and the quality of education provided at the university.
He further highlighted that this success aligns with PTUK’s strategic vision to adopt regional and international standards in education, research, and innovation.
