Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie (PTUK) celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of its Professional Diploma in Higher Education Pedagogy for Academics, a flagship outcome of the Erasmus+-funded Flip 3EEE Project. The ceremony was attended by PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak, Dr. Muammar Ishtaiwe, Chair of the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission AQAC, university leaders, representatives of higher education institutions, faculty members, and graduates.

Prof. Shanak described the diploma as one of the project's most significant achievements, highlighting its role in strengthening faculty competencies and advancing the quality of university teaching. He noted that the program is built on contemporary pedagogical practices and delivered by leading academics and experts, equipping university instructors with the knowledge and skills needed to meet the evolving demands of higher education.

He added that PTUK views the diploma as a cornerstone for academic development and expressed hope that it will become a professional requirement for university faculty members and be integrated into academic promotion criteria in coordination with the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission.

Dr. Muammar Ishtaiwe emphasized that the Higher Education Pedagogy Diploma is among the most successful outcomes of Erasmus+ projects, describing it as a sustainable model that has continued beyond the project's funding period to become part of Palestine's higher education development framework.

He noted that the true value of development projects lies in their long-term impact on human capacity building. The program, he explained, aligns with national higher education policies while addressing emerging trends, including artificial intelligence, educational planning, and innovative teaching and learning strategies. He also stressed that the diploma is available for adoption by universities across Palestine.

Dr. Ishtaiwe commended PTUK's leadership of the project and expressed appreciation to Project Coordinator Prof. Nuha Iter and all project teams for their contributions to its success.

For her part, Prof. Nuha Iter presented an overview of the diploma's structure, accreditation procedures, target participants, and admission and graduation requirements. She explained that the program combines theoretical and practical learning through blended delivery, integrating face-to-face and online instruction, with specialized modules designed to enhance faculty expertise in modern teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and professional development.

The Professional Diploma in Higher Education Pedagogy is a flagship outcome of the Flip 3EEE Project, led by Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, and a consortium of Palestinian and international universities, as part of a broader effort to enhance higher education quality and strengthen faculty competencies in line with international best practices.
